Snoop Dogg and Vincent Faudemer joined forces to create an iconic sculpture, limited to just 10,000 pieces. Vincent's studio conceived the innovative design, featuring a Babolex whose head can be removed to reveal Snoop’s famous face, thus immortalising the artist in a unique way.
The collaboration garnered widespread media attention, including prominent advertisements in Times Square, New York City, USA. Who is Vincent Faudemer?
Vincent Faudemer is a contemporary French artist born in 1986 in Caen, Normandy. Influenced by his family's art collection, he developed a unique approach to contemporary art, inspired by childhood memories after the birth of his son.Gaining international fame, he reimagined Babar the Elephant as Babolex, becoming the best-selling French artist in 2021. He was the first artist to collaborate with DAMAC to brand a building in the UAE, which sold out before construction began. His partnership with Snoop Dogg also attracted significant media attention. Through his studio, Vincent captures the essence of childhood innocence by reinterpreting iconic characters and beloved toys.
DAMAC × Babolex
Since arriving in the UAE in 2021, Vincent Faudemer has partnered with the Sajwani family of DAMAC Properties. Their collaboration began with the DAMAC Coral Reef project at Dubai Maritime City, which sold out in hours, generating over $174 million. A year later, they launched a luxury resort on Al Marjan Island, selling out $260 million worth of units in just three hours.
Vincent worked closely with DAMAC architects to design the distinctive Babolex sculptures featured in both projects, showcasing the strong trust and admiration between him, the partners, and buyers.
